BROWN LORIKEET

Physical Characteristics

The bird belongs to the parrot family. Its body is olive-brown in color, with areas around the forehead, cheeks, and wing edges being brown. The legs and underside of the wings are yellow. There's a hint of light yellow on the neck. The tail feathers have yellow spots, and the inner tail feathers are reddish-gold. The eyelids are reddish-orange, the feet are grey, and the beak is black. They prefer to be in pairs or small groups of around 10 individuals. They lay eggs in pairs, with an incubation period of 25 days.
