Physique: Syrian hamsters have large, chubby bodies, short, stumpy tails, round, prominent ears, and pointed faces. Their fur comes in various colors developed through breeding, including cream, gray, white, and brown. When fully grown, their fur length is approximately 7 inches.
Temperament: As youngsters, Syrian hamsters tend to be skittish, wary of strange scents, and people, but as they mature, they exhibit quiet and friendly behavior towards their caregivers. They can even fall asleep in our hands. However, their behavior depends significantly on their upbringing and individual personality traits developed since birth. Some may be as kind-hearted as we nurture them, while others can be quite stubborn. As adults, they become territorial and may display affection but also possessiveness. It's advisable not to house multiple hamsters together, and solitary housing in individual cages is best.
